Journey | A virtual small-group series for teens
The History of Journey
Journey started Summer 2020 in hopes of connecting young people during the COVID-19 quarantine, hoping to help stave off isolation and feelings of disconnection. Our 22 mentors led 42 teens from 3 countries through our first series! The feedback we received from mentors, teens, and parents alike couldn’t be ignored - Journey was a gift and God wasn’t done giving it yet.
We hosted a Fall 2020 series, where 12 mentors led 32 teens through a new and improved 8 week series!
At Echo Community, we believe our strongest ministry comes when we are in relationship with others. Even as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, we believe this opportunity for teens to connect in community (even virtually) around the love of Christ and the life He offers will bear much fruit.
At this time, we will not offer a Spring 2021 series, but we continue to discern and ask the Lord what He wants for the future Journey. Please join us in asking Him to lead us!

So many times after [our meeting] I just felt so joyful. It definitely helped me grow closer to God.

The outlook I had on life [before Journey] is almost entirely different to the outlook I have now. Every day should be celebrated!

parents:
Every time they’re on [their Journey call], they fill each other up with the grace of God. God is moving and I’m truly exhilarated!
|
[Dumb Ox] is truly doing the work of God and answering a call!

mentors:
What was encouraging to me was everyone's commitment. [The guys in my group] have so many things going on in their lives…but yet they chose to be a part of this group and made it a priority.
|
The girls [in my group] have such a love for their faith. So many times, they built me up by their sharing and by how much they love God and how serious they are about growing in virtue.
